Ladrona De Bolas is Weenus's first release. It is a 6 track EP that follows the tragic story of a young man named Mr Aura who has testicular cancer. He is put under sleep and in his dreams, looses his testicles from an evil witch. He awakes in a city where he has no balls and in his panic, searches for them. After some time, he is unable to find his balls and attempts to jump off a bridge. However in a change of events, an angel comes down and catches him. She offers him a mission to find his balls. He takes that and starts his long journey. After some time, he runs into a cult, the magic mushroom people. The cult captures Mr Aura and just before he is sacrificed, he awakes from the surgery to see he has only lost one testicle and it was all a dream.
When writing this ep, the idea of the story was written by Weenus's guitar player, Noah Young. The story was written after a practice with the band where he then presented the story to the rest. They all loved the story and started writing the ep. The songs on the epwere written relatively quick however the material didn't cover the whole story. When trying to write the rest, they found it was taking to long and with the announcement of their now former drummer John Ottenbacher having to leave soon, they had to stop writing and start the recording proccess of the ep. When they released it, they held a CD release party. This show was the last show before the departure of their original drummer John Ottenbacher.
